Sieber-Led THE KID for New Group Delays Previews; Now to Begin 4/9
As previously reported, Shrek vet Christopher Sieber will lead the cast of The Kid for The New Group. Based on the book by Dan Savage entitled The Kid: What Happened After My Boyfriend and I Decided to Go Get Pregnant, the new musical The Kid features music by Andy Monroe, book by Michael Zam and lyrics by Jack Lechner. Today it has been announced that the first preview has moved from April 10 to Friday, April 16. Official Opening is now Monday, May 10 at 7:00 (moved from May 6, announced previously). Cannavale, Giamatti & Ryan Join 'Win Win' Film
Bobby Cannavale, Paul Giamatti, and Amy Ryan will star in the upcoming "Win Win" film that will begin primary production March 15th in New York City, Variety is reporting. Giamatti plays plays a struggling attorney who moonlights as a high school wrestling coach. All aspects of his life are thrown in the air when he becomes the legal guardian of a client whose grandson shows up on his doorstep. (read the story...)

UP ON THE MARQUEE: COME FLY AWAY!
The new Broadway musical, COME FLY AWAY, conceived, choreographed, and directed by Tony Award-winner Twyla Tharp and featuring vocals by Frank Sinatra, is gearing up for it's March 25th opening at the Marquis Theatre (1535 Broadway). Fire Ignites at AMERICAN IDIOT's St. James Theatre; No One Harmed
Yesterday, March 11, work on AMERICAN IDIOT was temporarily delayed when a fire broke out in the elevator shaft of the St. James Theatre. While an initial report into the FDNY indicated that someone was trapped inside the elevator, upon arrival firefighters confirmed that while the fire did indeed initiate in the elevator shaft, no one was inside. The building was evacuated and no one was harmed. The cause of the fire is still unknown and under investigation. (read the story...)

Francesca Zambello Named General & Artistic Director of Glimmerglass Opera
Francesca Zambello will take over as the new general and artistic director of the Glimmerglass Opera after the departure of Michael MacLeod earlier this year. Zambello is currently the artistic adviser for the San Francisco Opera and has worked at a number of other operas around the world including the Metropolitan Opera, the Paris Opera, and the Royal Opera House. Redgrave to Star in 'Coriolanus' Film; Fiennes to Co-star and Helm
The filming of the Ralph Fiennes helmed "Coriolanus" will begin next week in Serbia, according to a number of published reports. Vanessa Redgrave will star alongside Fiennes as Volumnia, Coriolanus' mother. The project has been in a standstill for quite some time until producers were finally gathered and a cast put together. Fiennes will direct as well as play the title role in the adaptation by John Logan. (read the story...)

GLEE Adds Additional NY and LA Performances to US Tour
The upcoming GLEE US Tour has added more performances to its Los Angeles and New York stops. In addition to the previously announced performances, GLEE Live! In Concert! will now play Los Angeles May 20th through the 22nd with an added matinee performance on the 22nd at the Gibson Amphitheater. The tour's New York City engagement will now run May 28th through the 30th with an additional matinee performance on the 28th and an added evening show on May 30th. (read the story...)
