Lee, Wolsky et al. to be Honored at 2010 TDF/Irene Sharaff Awards, 4/23
Legendary costume designer ALBERT WOLSKY and world renowned scenic designer MING CHO LEE are among the 2010 TDF/Irene Sharaff Awards recipients. The awards will be presented at a ceremony on Friday, April 23 at 6:30pm at the Hudson Theatre (145 West 44th Street). Two-time Academy Award-winner Albert Wolsky will receive the 2010 TDF/Irene Sharaff Lifetime Achievement Award for costume design, and Tony Award-winning scenic designer and educator Ming Cho Lee will receive the TDF/Irene Sharaff Robert L.B. Tobin Award for Sustained Excellence in Theatrical Design.

Kander and Ebb's THE SCOTTSBORO BOYS Extends Thru April 18
The Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning Vineyard Theatre (108 East 15 Street) has announced an additional two weeks will go on sale today for the world-premiere of THE SCOTTSBORO BOYS: starting Tuesday, March 9, seats for the musical will be on sale through April 18. THE SCOTTSBORO BOYS was previously scheduled to run through April 4. Now in previews, THE SCOTTSBORO BOYS has its official opening night on March 10. (read the story...)

GLEE Adds 4th New York City Tour Date at Radio City, 5/30
As BroadwayWorld previously reported, the cast of the FOX series hit GLEE is kicking off its live tour in May, with dates slated for Los Angeles, Chicago, Phoenix and New York. Today, it has been revealed that fourth New York City performance date at New York City's Radio City Music Hall is planned for Sunday, May 30 at 8PM. (read the story...)

A VIEW FROM THE BRIDGE Recoups Investment
The critically-acclaimed Broadway production of Arthur Miller's A VIEW FROM THE BRIDGE starring Liev Schreiber and Scarlett Johansson directed by Gregory Mosher recouped its entire investment as of Monday, March 8. The limited run has only 4 weeks left before it must end on Sunday, April 4. 25th Annual Bistro Awards Gala to Honor Mitzi Gaynor and Elaine Stritch, 4/13
More than 20 of cabaret's brightest stars will be honored at the 25th Annual Bistro Awards which will take place on Tuesday, April 13 at Gotham Comedy Club. Legendary singer-dancer-actress Mitzi Gaynor, star of such films as South Pacific, Les Girls, Anything Goes, and a longtime headliner in Las Vegas and the nightclub circuit, making her first NY night club appearance in years in May at Feinstein's at Loews Regency, will be honored with the Bob Harrington Lifetime Achievement Award. Elaine Stritch, the uniquely sensational actress and singer and star of stage, film, and TV, will be recognized in the category of Extraordinary Cabaret Artist, noting her recent conquests of the cabaret stage. Variety Eliminates Theater & Film Critic Positions
Variety publisher Neil Stiles announced today that the famed trade paper will be laying off its longtime chief film and theater critics, Todd McCarthy and David Rooney, respectively.
